In October 2015 we were asked to play at a Frank Sidebottom celebration event and were joined on stage by guest speaker and former The Smiths drummer Mike Joyce.

In October 2013 we were privileged to be invited to play at the unveiling of the Frank Sidebottom statue in Timperley.

We would like to thank the following people for their support:

Andy Blears

Founder member of the group without whom XL5 would never have got off the ground.

The band started from a casual conversation at the school gates between Andy & Rob.
Pictured below from 2012 when we were joined on stage by Manchester United and Northern Ireland legend Norman Whiteside for a never to be forgotten rendition of Mr Brightside.

Paul Hanley - drummer and backing vocals

Paul is also a founder member of the band, and again, without Paul the band would never have seen the light of day.

Now recording & touring with Brix & The Extricated and making the odd guest appearance.
